The Moorish style palace of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Mar. 25 2005. The building, constructed between 1904 and 1908, is based on drawings by Oswaldo Cruz, Brazil's Health minister and is allegedly based on the Alhambra in Spain. Cruz is remembered for combating the bubonic plague and yellow fever at the begining of the 20th century. (AustralFoto/Douglas Engle)
