Orlando Orfei

Orlando Orfei, 87, poses after performing at his circus in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. An Italian national, Orfei, emigrated to Brazil in 1968 and leads one of the most traditional circuses of the world; the Orfei name is practically synonymous with circus, as his father, grandfather, uncles and cousins have all used Orfei name. Orlando himself has been in the circus business since the age of five. He has been a clown, magician, acrobat and beast tamer.(Australfoto/Douglas Engle)
