Young people attend football training at the Center for Citizenship, Cultural Actions and Studies (CEACC) of the Cidade de Deus (City of God) slum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The CEACC is an NGO founded in 2001 by current and former residents to combat economic, social and racial prejudice in the slum. It is supported in a large part by the British NGO Action Aid. Among the programs offered by the center are Football, Karate, Dance, Computer labs and tutoring. The CEACC building was bought in 2005 through a donation from British national Olga Jablkowska, and as been an important part of the success of the organization.(AustralFoto/Douglas Engle)
