The fossil was found recently in the construction site of a dam in Marilia, in the state of Sao Paulo. The new species, whose morphology is unique among terrestrail crocodylomorphs, measured 50 cms and weighed 10 Kg. It lived around 90 million years ago in the southeastern region of Brazil.
